Approval from The Council of Architecture (COA)

Visvesvaraya Technological University is one of the leading and largest technological universities in India. We pride to say that, Aditya Academy of Architecture & Design (AAAD) is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum. VTU was established by the Government of Karnataka, to improve the quality of technical education in the state.

The Council of Architecture (COA) has been constituted by the Government of India under the provision of Architects Act. COA is charged with the responsibility to regulate the education and practice of profession throughout India besides maintaining the register of architects. The Council of Architecture has framed Regulations as provided for in the Architect’s Act, with the approval of the Government of India.

The COA prescribes the minimum standards of architectural education – required for granting recognized qualifications by colleges or institutions in India. The standards of architectural education in India are governed by Council of Architecture.
